Bellydancers at Boise Komen Race for the Cure

One of my intermediate students and I danced at the Boise Komen Race for the Cure on May 10th, 2008. More of my intermediate students would've liked to have joined us, but they were either in the race themselves or out of town.

It was my student's first time performing, and one of the reasons I arranged for this particular event was that I felt it would be a low stress experience for a first-timer, since the most amount of time anyone watched us was about 20 seconds.

My student said she had a blast, and the racers/walkers enjoyed having us there (we are in lots of scrapbooks). I had printed a World Belly Dance Day banner and taped it to some shrubs/trees we were next to.
